SUBSCRIPTION PLANS

What are the differences between the types of plans?

The Hobby plan is aimed at hobbyists, students and "light" users that do not need to use our textures for commercial purposes.  There are no resolution size limits for the Hobby plan.
The Freelancer plan is for those that are in the 3D art industry and need textures regularly. This is by far the most popular plan.  There are no resolution size limits for the Freelancer plan.
The Production plan is perfect for small studios or companies that need a high amount of textures regularly. This plan also allows for multiple "seats" or user accounts, so that each member can have their own account.  Please email us at support@poliigon for more info.
The Studio plan is designed for large studios whose needs exceed what the Production plan provides, or for large companies that need more flexibility.  For inquiries, please visit the pricing page and click on "Contact us" under the Studio plan details.
Subscribing to one of our plans will give you monthly credits (for both monthly and yearly plans), however, On-demand credits can be purchased without a subscription or in addition to a subscription.  On-demand credits can be used for commercial purposes and have no resolution size limits.  For more information on credits, please see the section titled "CREDITS" below.

What are the differences between the monthly and yearly plans?

Yearly plans offer more value as you get more credits per dollar.  Monthly plans are renewed and billed monthly, while yearly plans are renewed and billed yearly.  Please note that for both plans, the credits still refresh on the monthly anniversary date of your first or previous payment.

Are the prices in USD?

Yes.

Can I cancel my subscription?  What happens when I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time, but you will need to cancel before your renewal date to prevent it from renewing.  You will still retain and be able to use any remaining credits until the end of your current cycle, when your subscription will expire instead of renew.  You can reactivate at any time.

Can I buy On-demand credits instead of a subscription?

Yes!  You may purchase On-demand credits without a subscription or in addition to a subscription.  You can choose whether to use Subscription credits or On-demand credits when you purchase textures.

Do the credits roll-over from month to month?   Do they expire?

For as long as your subscription is active, the Hobby plan Subscription credits will roll-over for 1 month and the Freelancer and Production plan Subscription credits will roll-over for 3 months. Please note that after your subscription expires (at the end of a cancelled cycle or after 2 failed payments), your Subscription credits will NOT carry over to your next reactivation.

On-demand credits do not expire however, even if your subscription expires

Can I use the textures, even after my subscription expires?

Yes!  Once you have downloaded them, you can use them when needed.  However all usage at any time must fall within our terms and conditions and also your plan's limits (ex. Hobby plans do not have a commercial license).  Please view our License FAQ for full details.

How does the Trial plan work?  Download options say "Premium Feature", what does this mean?

The Trial plan will let you test out some of our textures with 50 Trial credits and at a resolution size limit of 1k. If you need to test out higher resolution textures, you could try our free textures.

You can subscribe to one of our plans upon signing up on a Trial plan.

To download maps that say "Premium Feature", you will need to use Subscription credits (by subscribing to a paid plan) or On-demand credits to download these higher resolution textures.

Do you have any discounts or promotions?

Currently, if you subscribe before your trial period ends, you will get a discount of 50% off the first month (on a monthly plan), or 10% off the first year on a yearly plan. Your remaining trial credits will carry over to your new plan. Please note that for the Production plan, the discount only applies to the first seat.
If you are a student, our Hobby plan is currently the best option for you.  You could also try our hi-res free textures that get updated periodically.

How does the Production plan work?  What are seats?

The production plan allows for up to 50 team member accounts, called "seats", which will allow your team members to share available credits.*

*Please note that for this current release, you may purchase extra seats for extra credits, but the ability to add individual team member accounts is currently disabled.  Team seat management will be available at the next release.  Please contact support@poliigon.com if you have any questions.


CREDITS

What are the credits for?  How many materials can I download in a month?

Each individual map will cost one credit.  So a material with a diffuse, glossy and displacement map would cost 3 credits.  Most full materials contain 4-6 maps.  Some extensively larger maps like HDRs will cost 10 credits.  For example, the Freelancer plan at 300 credits per month will yield approximately 50-60 texture sets if you need every single map (more if you only need 1-2 maps).

Do higher resolution textures cost more credits?

Currently no.  The costs are the same across all resolution sizes!

Can I redownload materials without spending credits again?

Yes!  You can redownload any asset for free and for as many times as you like.  Find your previously downloaded assets in your "Downloads" section.

Can I buy On-demand credits instead of a subscription?

Yes!  You may purchase On-demand credits without a subscription or in addition to a subscription.

When do credits refresh?

If your subscription is active and your most recent payment was successful, monthly credits will reset on the anniversary date of your previous payment. Credits refresh at UTC midnight for users on a monthly plan, while credits refresh at UTC 10 pm for users on a yearly plan.

Which credit cards are accepted?

Currently, we accept Visa and Mastercard.


TEXTURES AND USAGE

Are Poliigon's textures compatible with any rendering application?

Our textures are compatible with the large majority of 3d applications that accept common image file formats.  They are designed to work in 3d applications such as 3ds Max, Cinema4D, Maya etc., but for real-time game engines such as Unreal or Unity, some of the texture maps may need to be modified to function correctly. Please note that there are certain applications such as Vectorworks and Lumion that we do not fully support. This is because they do not accept all of our map types, and as such our materials will be incomplete.

I do not see a texture that I need.  Would I be able to suggest one?

Yes!  Please check out our texture request form.  Please note that this is a suggestion form and not an official request ticket.  We consider these requests and also current trends when planning what to produce for our upcoming themed releases.

Where can I find my previously downloaded textures?  What is the difference between "Download" and "Purchase History" in my user settings area?

You can view textures you had previously downloaded in your user settings area. In this area you will find the "Purchase History" that lists the exact textures and maps that you had previously downloaded. In the "Download" option, you will be able to download the other resolution sizes or redownload any of your previously downloaded textures.  Please note that redownloading is only available if you have an active Subscription or On-demand credits.

Can I use the textures, even after my subscription expires?
